The Day We Got Physical – Korean Style

Korea has fitness equipment on street corners. You can find it on the top of hills, outlooks, by the river or on the side of a main road. Anyone can use it and plenty of people do. This equipment is used seriously as part of one’s daily exercise regime. If seen smiling while using the machines, look away, wipe that grin off your face and work twice as hard to make up for your momentary fun. Olivia Newton-John would approve.

Jokes aside, they really wouldn’t be a bad idea in the US. People need a kick up the butt to start looking after their health. Street side gyms would be awesome in areas where people can’t afford gyms or the weather is really good. I would give it a try for sure. Go Korea!
